Stress Analysis Services, a leading manufacturers' representative firm offering sensors, instrumentation, data acquisition, and test equipment to OEM & Test markets, has two openings for a Field Applications Technical Sales Engineer:

  • Minnesota - Minneapolis-based opportunity covering a multi-state territory (MN, NS, SD, IA, NE, KS, & MO).

Both jobs are home office-based/remote-work technical sales positions within well-established territories.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet with customers and prospective customers to understand their applications and needs relative to the products and services we sell.

  • CRM reporting and other communications with our principals, keeping them apprised of our efforts. Reporting of customer visits and important customer communications are a must, along with reporting on lead, quote, and opportunity follow-ups.

  • Foster strong customer relationships and grow business through prospecting and account networking.

  • Collaborate with and support regular territory sales visits with our principals.

  • Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, product training, and other events, as needed. Some of these will involve occasional travel.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Income Range: $80k - $300k

This position is performance/commission based with no cap on earnings. A base salary commensurate with experience is negotiable. 401k, health, and dental coverage are available.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field is desired, but candidates with technical sales experience will be considered.

  • Experience involving sensors, strain gages, or vibration testing is preferred.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Microsoft 365 is preferred.

  • Solid oral and written communications skills in English, and strong presentation skills, are a must.
